In order to develop blooming capacity to implement export orders, the rolling mill successfully rolled out 120mm test billet.
The rolling mill carried out serious research for materials, process, facilities and operation and other key of technology on the basis of order demand with technical center together. They carried on data analysis through statistical tools by reference to experiences for 140mm hot rolled square billet before to find out key factors so as to confirm supporting conditions and make detailed and reasonable plan. They also shortened test period and arranged special tracking for hole pattern design, sample process and groove preparation.
The workers operated in strict accordance with technology process during rolling period. The inspection result shown that all temperature control parameters, surface quality of hot rolled billet and dimensions of end face has satisfied customers’requirements which laid a good foundation for normal production of this 120mm square billet.
