In order to expand stainless steel market, the steel making mill adopted effective measures to continuously produced 6 heats of high alloy corrosion-resisting quality G8633 successfully according to their test plan.
Quality G8633 is mainly used to produce vibrating screen mesh. It is easy to push the tops of billet because of serious head raising for its high hardness caused by high alloy content especially Cr and Mn. It’s not a long time for the mill to begin production of this stainless quality, so they have very little experience about it. The technical person adjusted technology parameters and found out optimized measures for control parameters of withdrawal and straightening machine and finally promoted tops of billet passing pinch rolls to finish automatic cutting at second casting time. This is the first time for the mill to continuously produce 6 heats successfully.
